All of our chalet rentals, cabin rentals, and condo rentals have fully equipped kitchens plus all towels, linens and fire wood are provided free of charge. Amenities: A Majestic View #56 is a comfortable chalet overlooking the Great Smoky Mountains and the city lights of downtown Gatlinburg. This is the best place to spend your vacation in the Smokies!! Only 3 miles from downtown Gatlinburg or the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and about 1.5 miles to Ober Gatlinburg ski resort. This chalet has ample parking for 2 cars and you have free access to three clubhouses (in season) which have swimming pools, tennis courts, game room and fitness room.
The lower level has 2 bedrooms each with a king size bed and a tv in each bedroom with cable, a full bath, whirlpool tub and stack washer and dryer. The upper level has a fully equipped kitchen, living room with wood burning fireplace, vaulted ceilings with skylight, pool table, dining area, full bath with shower. Open the curtains and enjoy the majestic view of the mountains while eating in the dining area. The living room has a large screen TV with cable, dvd player, stereo system and a few dvd's for your viewing pleasure. Free long distance calling in the US.
The deck is accessible from the upper level, and has a charcoal grill, and patio table with umbrella. Views from the deck are amazing, you can see for miles on a clear day and at night you can see the city lights of Gatlinburg. Star Gazing is incredible from this vantage point on the mountain. From evening to the early mornings, bears, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, chipmunks, and squirrels are very common sights in the area - so don't forget your camera!! FREE WI-FI!!
Winter Weather Warning: The elevation at A Majestic View is nearly the same as the lodge at nearby Ober Gatlinburg ski resort. In case of inclement winter weather, 4 wheel drive and/or chains are advised. We recommend checking the weather and webcam at Ober Gatlinburg to determine the weather conditions here. The City of Gatlinburg does an excellent job of keeping the roads open in winter, but in case of heavy snowfall, it may take a day or more to make the roads safe for travel. When staying here in the winter, it is advised that you bring extra supplies just in case.
Description of Chalet:
We always have a 2 night minimum. A 3 night minimum on major holidays and a 4 night minimum on Thanksgiving with a Wednesday arrival.
